Dr. Sohel Residence is a single-family residence is located in Moulovibazar, Sylhet. The site is on a hilly area and being at the end of a cul-de-sac road at the foot of a hill gives it a mystical mountain side environment. During the monsoon the rain water coming down the mountain side forms mini waterfalls enhancing the beauty of the site.

 

The structure is designed to hold a contemporary look of red brick and concrete assisted withed glass and metal. The residence has multiple balconies and terraces to enjoy the serene environment and the nature’s play during the seasonal changes. The front and backyard are lined with various types of fruit and herb plants. The front yard continues to the back through a semi shaded porch meant for winter barbeque and summer gardening.

 

The ride up to the first floor is via an eclectic wooden staircase with a cozy seating nook. The staircase itself is a grand vision that carries its cozy texture to the first-floor family living area. The family living itself is also the library, delicately designed with wooden shelves and comfortable seating arrangements for kids and adults alike. An inviting space where one would naturally be drawn to pick up a book at relax. This floor also holds three bedrooms each with attached bathrooms and balconies.
